Dr. Mikaela Almeida completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-Medical Science at the University of Guelph prior to earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. While there, Dr. Mikaela was recognized for her research involvement and commitment to academics and service by being inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honour Societies.
Dr. Mikaela recognizes that dental visits can be a stressful experience and therefore, strivesto make your visit as comfortable as possible by approaching each encounter with a listeningear, empathetic demeanour, and patient-centered mindset. Dr. Mikaela continues to devoteherself to lifelong learning through completion of continuing education courses with a goal ofproviding her patients with the best possible care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mikaela enjoys being active through water skiing on Belwood Lake, hikingoutdoors, travelling, watching hockey games, and spending time with family, friends, and of course, her dog Charlie.
After years away studying, Dr. Mikaela is thrilled to be back in Fergus serving her community and looks forward to meeting you at your next appointment!
